The cabling of vehicles has to survive lots of stress during the live time. Big temperature changes and lots of vibrations permanent burden components like cable, contacts and switches. To ensure that such components survive, they will be tested on shakers and temperature chambers. Even a short connection drop needs to be registered for sure during such test.

The "Centrum Baustoffe und Materialprüfung" (cbm) at the Technical University of Munich is one of the most important research and testing institutes for building materials in Germany. The cbm's field of activity covers teaching, research and material testing. The Concrete Technology Working Group focuses on essential aspects of concrete as a building material – from production (mixing) and processing (rheology) to mechanical properties and durability.

LTT transient recorder at blast test to replace tape recorder

The company EADS-Astrium contracted KRP-Mechatec to test a component of a satellite called a “Low Shock Release Unit“ (LSRU) which it had developed and built. For the tests KRP-Mechatec used the equipment provided by LLB. EADS-Astrium desired a detailed report about the quality and characteristics of the apparatus including proposals for any possible improvements.

The recording of underwater shock waves requires a high-tec data acquisition system. Important are high sampling frequencies to catch transient signals and the device needs to be robust against shock and vibrations.
